Host Bruce Janu records long-form conversations with his father, Dave, about family stories, Chicago neighborhoods, wartime memories, road trips, old bars, and the everyday moments that define a life. Bruce then crafts these recordings into themed audio stories, weaving the conversation together with carefully chosen music spanning genres and decades.

The result is a warm, reflective program about the stories families tell, the places that shape us, and the music that brings those memories back. Listeners often say the show reminds them of conversations with their own parents and grandparents—proving that everyone’s life has a soundtrack worth hearing.

The show currently streams exclusively on Vinyl Voyage Radio and is available on-demand via Mixcloud.
