The Flip

The Flip explores both sides of a 45 rpm single—A-side and B-side—blending music, context, and storytelling to reveal the full artistic and historical picture of each record. The Flip is a short-form audio series that takes a deeper look at the 45 rpm single as a complete listening experience. Each episode focuses on one record, playing both the A-side and B-side in sequence and exploring how the two tracks interact as a paired artistic statement. Rather than treating the B-side as an afterthought, The Flip reframes it as an essential part of the story—sometimes a hidden gem, sometimes a stylistic contrast, and sometimes a clue to the artist’s broader creative intent at the time of release.
